Serving Seattle, WA & Surrounding Areas

If your furnace is getting old, your baseboard heaters cost more every winter, or the upstairs bedrooms now bake through every July heat wave, a heat pump can handle all of it with one system. We install ducted and ductless heat pumps for Seattle homes, sized for our mild, damp winters and warmer summers so you stay comfortable in every season.

Integrity Energy Systems has served the area since 2012 from our office on South 96th Street. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and our own electricians handle the wiring, so one team takes your project from estimate to final test.

Ducted or Ductless: The Right Heat Pump for How Your Home Is Built

The right system for your home depends on what is already in it. Homes from Ballard to Beacon Hill range from older houses with oil furnaces to newer townhomes with no ductwork at all, so we start with your house, not a stock package.

Comparison Ducted heat pump Ductless mini split
Best fit Homes with existing furnace ductwork in good shape Homes with baseboard, oil or wall heat, additions, and finished basements
How it works One outdoor unit connects to an indoor air handler that sends air through your vents An outdoor unit connects to one or more wall or ceiling units, each heating and cooling its own zone
Comfort control One thermostat for the whole home Separate temperature control in each zone
What we check Duct condition, sizing and airflow Wall space, line routing and how many zones you need

Every installation also includes the electrical side. Many heat pumps need a new dedicated circuit, and some older homes need more panel capacity. We hold a Washington State 01 Electrical Administrator license, so our electricians handle any panel upgrade as part of the same job instead of you hiring a separate contractor.

Hybrid Heat Pump With a Gas Furnace Backup

If you heat with natural gas and want to keep your furnace, a hybrid (dual fuel) system pairs a new heat pump with it. The heat pump does the work through most of the year, and the furnace takes over on the coldest days. It is a practical middle step for homeowners who want lower energy use and summer cooling without removing equipment that still runs well.

What to Expect From Your Heat Pump Installation

Our installation process is the same whether you need a single mini split or a whole-home system:

  1. Free estimate. Call (425) 419-4676 or send us the estimate form, and we schedule a visit at your home.
  2. Home evaluation. We look at your home’s size, insulation, existing ductwork, electrical panel and the rooms that are hardest to keep comfortable.
  3. Clear recommendation. You get a system recommendation sized to your home, the options that make sense, and the rebate programs your project may qualify for.
  4. Professional installation. Our technicians install the equipment following manufacturer requirements, and our electricians complete any circuit or panel work.
  5. Performance testing. We test the system thoroughly before we call the job done.
  6. Walkthrough. We show you how to run your new system and what routine maintenance keeps it running efficiently for years.

What Affects Heat Pump Installation Cost in Seattle

Heat pump cost in Seattle varies widely from one home to the next, which is why we give a free estimate after seeing your home rather than a number over the phone. The main factors are:

  • System type. Ducted, ductless or hybrid, and how many indoor units a ductless system needs.
  • Home size and layout. Larger or multilevel homes need more capacity or more zones.
  • Ductwork condition. Old ducts may need sealing, repair or resizing before they can serve a heat pump.
  • Electrical needs. A new circuit or panel upgrade adds to the project.
  • Equipment efficiency. Higher-efficiency models cost more up front, and they are also the ones most rebate programs require.
  • What we remove. Taking out an old oil furnace or oil tank is part of some projects.

We also offer financing through the GreenSky program for homeowners who want to spread the cost over time.

Heat Pump Rebates That Can Lower Your Cost

Utility and city rebates can take a real bite out of the cost of a qualifying heat pump, and we help you sort out which ones fit your home before you commit. Programs available to Seattle-area homeowners include:

  • Mitsubishi Electric fall rebate. Save up to $1,450 on a qualifying Mitsubishi Electric heat pump system through November 25, 2026. Qualifying models and terms apply.
  • Seattle City Light. City Light customers can get instant discounts on qualifying heat pumps, applied to your contractor’s bid, based on the system’s size and efficiency rating.
  • Seattle’s Clean Heat program. Homes switching from oil heat may qualify for Clean Heat rebates, with larger amounts for income-qualified households.
  • PSE. Puget Sound Energy customers outside the City Light service area can check PSE heating rebates for heat pump conversions and hybrid systems.
  • Seattle HomeWise. Income-eligible Seattle households may qualify for a free heating system and insulation upgrades through the City’s HomeWise program. We are an approved HomeWise contractor

Program amounts and rules change often, so we confirm current terms with you at the estimate. Our heat pump rebate guide walks through each program in more detail. One change to know: the federal energy efficient home improvement tax credit does not apply to systems installed after December 31, 2025.

Why Seattle Homeowners Choose Integrity Energy Systems

When you choose a heat pump installer, you deserve a team that explains your options plainly and stands behind the work long after the install. That is how we have run our business since 2012.

  • Local and established. Our office is at 430 S 96th St in Seattle, and we have served homes across King County for more than a decade.
  • HVAC and electrical under one roof. We hold a City of Seattle Refrigeration License and a Washington State 01 Electrical Administrator license, and we are licensed, bonded and insured.
  • Equipment we trust. We install Mitsubishi and Trane heat pumps, and we are a Trane Comfort Specialist.
  • Honest recommendations. If a repair makes more sense than a new system, or a hybrid fits better than a full switch, we tell you.
  • Help when you need it. 24/7 emergency service is available if your system ever has a problem.

Heat Pump Installation FAQ

It depends on the system type, the size and layout of your home, the condition of any ductwork, and whether you need electrical upgrades. A single-zone mini split and a whole-home ducted system are very different projects. We give you a free estimate after seeing your home, and we point out the rebates your project may qualify for so you know your real cost before you decide.

Yes. Seattle winters are mild compared to much of the country, which suits heat pumps well. Today’s cold-climate models keep heating efficiently well below freezing. If you want extra assurance, a hybrid system keeps your gas furnace as backup for the coldest days.

Not always. It depends on your panel’s capacity and what else it already powers. We check your panel during the home evaluation. If your project needs a new circuit or more capacity, our licensed electricians handle it as part of the installation.

Yes. A ducted heat pump can often use your existing ductwork, or a ductless system can heat and cool without it. Oil tanks must be decommissioned following Seattle Fire Department requirements, and oil-to-heat-pump conversions may qualify for Clean Heat rebates.

It depends on the number of indoor units, whether ductwork needs repair, and whether electrical work is part of the job. We give you an expected timeline with your estimate so you can plan around it.

If your system is fairly new and the problem is isolated, a heat pump repair is usually the better value. If repairs keep coming back or the unit is near the end of its life, a replacement can lower your energy use and improve comfort. We give you both options honestly.
